Shooting Exercise # 2 Other POV

Some of these photos could be interpreted as many different POV's. Yet I focused on what a cat might be seeing through their daily routine. Walking on the a railings or just looking straight off the balcony. Not all of my photos are from the POV of a cat, but I would say the majority of them are. By the way dry ice is way more fun than you think it is.

  1. I absolutely love the dry ice photos. I think it would be interesting to see a photo that is surrounded in the dry ice and a macro on the "fibers" of the smoke. But really really awesome either way!

  2. Definitely a big fan of the dry ice pictures. They give an awesome addition to a simple picture creating a strange feeling of uneasiness. Also like the picture of you taking the picture. Doesn't show too much detail to say it is you but gives a good feeling. Creates a playful mood within such a small frame. Good Job.

  3. I quite enjoy the image of the sink (possibly with dry ice in it - or just moving water...) The metal of the faucet is shiny and focuses while many other elements of the image are softer... Very interesting perspective on something that we all see every day. Technically - the image of the tomatoes has great color and depth of field. The dry ice images are very interesting and fun. I especially like the one on the window ledge that is further away from the cup and the one where you are looking straight down into the cup. The fact that the ice is in a coffee mug makes these seem like very over-dramatized shots of coffee in a cup. Great fun! The images looking down over the side of the porch aren't quite so interesting, but I like that you experimented with various ideas.

  4. The dry ice pictures are really fun and I like the effects from it. My other favorite is the first one of the boards, the board is so in focus with the background all blurry. The other two board ones aren't quite as interesting to me, possibly because they don't have the dramatic effect like the first one.
